Tamago privacy policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Tamago is a virtual pet game by Lobsang Sanchez Henao, publishing as Modern Western ("we"). This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and what you can do about it. Tamago has no ads, does not track you across apps or websites and has no third-party tools that collect data.

What stays on your phone

Your game (the pet, the house, the coins and what you bought in the game) and your settings are saved only on your device. We do not receive them. If you delete the game, they are deleted.

Usage statistics

To know which parts of the game are used and make it better, the game adds up what is done in it each day and, once a day, sends us those totals:

They come with a random identifier the game creates when it is installed, the platform (Android or iOS) and the game's version. They do not include your name, email, location, contacts or any device or advertising identifier, and we do not use them to identify you. They are stored on Supabase servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) for 24 months; after that they are deleted automatically. We do not sell or share them with anyone. This cannot be turned off in the game; you can ask us to delete these totals (see below).

What the game downloads

When it opens, the game downloads the shops' prices and dates and new content from our content server (Cloudflare). Like any website, that server sees the device's IP address to answer it; we do not keep it or use it for anything else.

Visits over Wi-Fi

If you visit a friend, the game sends your pet and the caretaker name you set in Settings to your friend's phone, directly over the Wi-Fi network you are both on. It does not go through our servers.

Children

Tamago does not ask for or collect personal data, from children or adults: there is no sign-up, chat or public profile.

Your rights

You can ask us to see or delete the statistics of your installation on the Request deletion of your data page or by writing to hello@modernwestern.space. We answer within 30 days. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your country's data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we publish the new version here with its date.
